HOW TO BEAT COMPUTER EMAIL VIRUSES

If you use Outlook Express, follow this simple tip.

Open Outlook Express. 
Click on View. 
Click on Layout. 
Click on Customize Toolbar. 
On the left hand side, under Available Toolbar Buttons, scroll until you see the Preview icon. 
Highlight Preview by clicking on it once and then click on Add so Preview moves to the right side. 
Finally, click on Close.

When the Preview is on, you can read the content of your email. When the Preview is off, you don’t see the content of your email. When a virus comes in, it relies on your Preview being on. So here is what you do. 

Keep your Preview off as much as possible. 
If an email comes in with an attachment, delete it. 
If an email comes in that you want to read, just turn your Preview on by clicking on the Preview button that you just added to your upper task bar. By doing this, viruses could be sent to you all day and they wouldn’t affect your computer. 

This is a smart way of beating the idiot who doesn’t have anything better to do with his time than to create vicious viruses and send them as emails.

Hopefully this little idea will help you stay away from viruses too. Obviously, you should have virus software like Norton Anti-Virus or McAfee Anti-Virus to help against attacks, but this little idea of working with the Preview button is just another way to protect you and your computer from virus attacks.
